You can reach the route's starting point, Luostonportti, by driving from the village of Luosto, 500 meters uphill on Luostontie road from in front of Lapland Hotel Luostotunturi towards the slopes. Before the slopes, the road passes under an arch bridge, after which Luostonportti's starting point is immediately to the left. There is a parking lot at the starting point. Luostonportti has information about the national park and a map. You can get closest to the route's start by continuing 300 m from Luostonportti towards the slopes, to the northwest corner of the parking area. Next to the slope restaurant, at the forest edge, there is a brown snowshoe route sign marking the path's start. Arrival to Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
