Touring route through the Arctic Lapland
This 8-day route starts and ends in Ivalo. We discover the beautiful landscape in the very north of Finland, hike in famous national parks, learn interesting facts about the Sámi culture in Inari and Sevettijärvi, and explore the shores of the Arctic Ocean in Norway.
The well-marked hiking trails in the Lemmenjoki National Park make an exploration tour through the fell as well as the birch and pine forests worthwhile. The "Teno Route" between Karigasniemi and Utsjoki is one of the most beautiful in all of Finland. Sevettijärvi is the most important center for Sámi culture. The Skolt Sámi Heritage House should definitely not be missed. The Urho Kekkonen National Park impresses with beautiful fell landscape and the interesting history of gold miners in Tankavaara.
