C\u2019est pour une tr\u00e8s bonne raison qu\u2019on appelle Nellim le point de rendez-vous de trois cultures. En effet, dans les ann\u00e9es 1920 et 1930, les premiers habitants de la r\u00e9gion, le peuple s\u00e1mi d\u2019Inari, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoints par des b\u00fbcherons finlandais. Plus tard, apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre mondiale, c\u2019est le peuple des Skolts qui est arriv\u00e9. Les Skolts sont le peuple autochtone de la p\u00e9ninsule de Kola en Russie. Suite \u00e0 la Seconde Guerre mondiale, ils ont perdu leurs terres natales \u00e0 Petsamo. Le village de Nellim se trouve pr\u00e8s de la fronti\u00e8re russe, au sud-est du lac Inarij\u00e4rvi. Le lac Inarinj\u00e4rvi est accessible depuis le centre du village de Nellim, en bateau l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 et en motoneige l\u2019hiver. Vous devriez pouvoir admirer les aurores bor\u00e9ales \u00e0 Nellim car, dans le ciel \u00e9toil\u00e9 de ce village en pleine nature, aucune pollution lumineuse ne vient g\u00e2cher le spectacle.<\/p>\n

Nellim se situe \u00e0 40 kilom\u00e8tres environ du noyau commercial que repr\u00e9sente Ivalo. Il existe une nouvelle route entre Ivalo et Nellim qui permet de circuler rapidement et en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Canal des rondins<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u00c0 Nellim, le canal r\u00e9nov\u00e9 est le site id\u00e9al pour une excursion d\u2019une journ\u00e9e en famille. Le lieu est accessible en voiture, ou par le sentier balis\u00e9 en provenance de Paksuvuono. On y trouve un abri en appentis et une chemin\u00e9e.
\nNellim a servi de principal lieu d\u2019exploitation du bois dans les ann\u00e9es 1930 et apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre mondiale. En 1929, l\u2019entreprise foresti\u00e8re Atif a command\u00e9 un canal pour couvrir les rapides inf\u00e9rieurs de Keskim\u00f6j\u00e4rvi jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Nellimj\u00e4rvi. \u00c0 partir de l\u00e0, les rondins \u00e9taient transport\u00e9s vers Inarinj\u00e4rvi, et finalement le long de la rivi\u00e8re Paatsjoki jusqu\u2019\u00e0 une scierie situ\u00e9e \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019oc\u00e9an Arctique \u00e0 Elven, en Norv\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

\u00c9glise orthodoxe de Nellim<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

L\u2019\u00e9glise orthodoxe de Nellim est d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la Sainte Trinit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire de Trifon Petsamolainen. Construite en 1987 en tant que salle de pri\u00e8re, l\u2019\u00e9glise a \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9e par l\u2019\u00e9v\u00eaque m\u00e9tropolitain Leo un an plus tard. La conception est bas\u00e9e sur la partie ancienne de l\u2019\u00e9glise conventuelle de Petsamo. L\u2019\u00e9glise est une \u00e9glise de la R\u00e9forme, qui est aussi utilis\u00e9e pour les messes \u00e9vang\u00e9liques luth\u00e9riennes.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Zone sauvage de Tsarmitunturi<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Tsarmitunturi est une zone recul\u00e9e de collines et de for\u00eats, situ\u00e9e entre la fronti\u00e8re russe et les routes qui m\u00e8nent d\u2019Ivalo \u00e0 Nellim et d\u2019Ivalo \u00e0 Raja-Jooseppi. Les hauts plateaux des collines de Tsarmitunturi et Akalauttap\u00e4\u00e4 sont entour\u00e9s de for\u00eats du Nord anciennes et pr\u00e9serv\u00e9es. En fait, on y trouve la for\u00eat d\u2019\u00e9pic\u00e9as continue la plus septentrionale de Finlande. Il n\u2019existe aucun sentier balis\u00e9 dans la zone sauvage de Tsarmitunturi. Elle convient donc uniquement aux randonneurs et aux chasseurs autonomes.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Lac Inarij\u00e4rvi<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Avec sa beaut\u00e9 sauvage, le lac d\u2019Inari, ou Inarij\u00e4rvi en finnois, est le troisi\u00e8me plus grand lac de Finlande et le deuxi\u00e8me en termes de profondeur. Le grand lac compte quelques 3 318 \u00eeles, ainsi qu\u2019une s\u00e9rie de grandes ar\u00eates sans \u00eeles. Un r\u00e9seau tr\u00e8s soud\u00e9 de huttes recouvre le littoral et les \u00eeles, fournissant un abri aux cano\u00e9istes et aux plaisanciers en \u00e9t\u00e9 et aux fondeurs en hiver. Durant la saison estivale, qui d\u00e9marre en juin, les visiteurs ont l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de faire une croisi\u00e8re sur le lac Inari, et m\u00eame sous le soleil de minuit! <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Pont de Paatsjoki \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re russe<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

La fronti\u00e8re entre la Finlande et la Russie constitue en grande partie le paysage quotidien \u00e0 Nellim. Le poste fronti\u00e8re de Virtaniemi se trouve aussi \u00e0 proximit\u00e9.
