The Aurorapolku starts from the Saariselkä starting gate of the national park. The circular trail runs along the edge of the fell gorge on the east side of the Lutto River. It is advisable to allow at least one hour to complete the Aurorapolku, which is open year-round. The total length of the trail is 2.1 km. The trail is also very suitable for walking with children. The trail is gravelled but due to elevation changes is not suitable for wheelchair users. The trail is not illuminated, so for winter walks, it is advisable to take a flashlight. The trail can be walked in both directions.
