Utsjoki ist die n\u00f6rdlichste Gemeinde Finnlands und die einzige finnische Gemeinde, deren Einwohner zur Mehrheit Samen sind. In Utsjoki kann man die moderne Alltagskultur der Samen mit allen Sinnen erleben. In Utsjoki werden auf Volksfesten und bei verschiedenen Events immer noch traditionelle Trachten getragen. Zum Gemeindebezirk Utsjoki geh\u00f6ren die drei Orte Utsjoki, Karigasniemi und Nuorgam, die das ganze Jahr \u00fcber einen Besuch wert sind. In der n\u00f6rdlichsten Region Finnland sind sowohl die Polarnacht als auch der Polartag am l\u00e4ngsten. \u00dcber Utsjoki thront der heilige Fjell Ailigas. \u00dcber die S\u00e1mi-Br\u00fccke kann man den Grenzfluss Tenojoki zur norwegischen Seite \u00fcberqueren. Der Tenojoki hat sowohl flussabw\u00e4rts als auch flussaufw\u00e4rts von Utsjoki reiche Lachsbest\u00e4nde und ist deshalb ein beliebtes Ziel f\u00fcr Schlepp- und Fliegenfischer. <\/p>\n

Utsjoki ist am besten mit dem Auto oder Bus zu erreichen. Die n\u00e4chsten Flugh\u00e4fen liegen im finnischen Ivalo und im norwegischen Kirkenes. Zahlreiche Herbergsunternehmen bieten Flughafentransfer an. Am Flughafen besteht auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, einen Leihwagen zu buchen. Fluss Tenojoki <\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Der Tenojoki ist einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften und besten Lachsfl\u00fcsse Europas. Die ersten Fliegenfischer kamen im 19. Jahrhundert zum Tenojoki, was man als Beginn des Angeltourismus ansehen kann. Teno, Deatnu oder Tana, wie der Fluss auf Finnisch, Nordsamisch und Norwegisch hei\u00dft, bildet die Grenze zwischen Finnland und Norwegen, d. h. der Fluss ist auch die n\u00f6rdliche Grenze der Europ\u00e4ischen Union. Das wundersch\u00f6ne Flusstal mit seinen versteckten Sandstr\u00e4nden wird von zerkl\u00fcfteter Fjelllandschaft ges\u00e4umt. Die sch\u00f6nste Stra\u00dfe Finnlands<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Die Stra\u00dfe Nr. 970 f\u00fchrt von Karigasniemi nach Utsjoki, folgt \u00fcber 100 km dem Flusslauf des Tenojoki und verl\u00e4uft von dort weiter nach Nuorgam. Diese Teno-Route wird als sch\u00f6nste Stra\u00dfe Finnlands bezeichnet, da sie durch die atemberaubende Landschaft am Tenojoki entlang f\u00fchrt, ein Panorama, das in Finnland seinesgleichen sucht.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Naturschutzgebiet Kevo<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Das Naturschutzgebiet um die imposante Kevo-Schlucht z\u00e4hlt zu den unwegsamsten Wandergebieten Finnlands. Inmitten des Naturschutzgebietes erstreckt sich der Canyon \u00fcber eine L\u00e4nge von 40 km und ist stellenweise bis zu 80 m tief. Der Kevojoki bahnt sich am Boden seinen Weg durch die Schlucht. Zum Naturschutzgebiet geh\u00f6rt \u00fcberdies die umliegende, leicht zerkl\u00fcftete Fjelllandschaft. Hier findet man auch ausgedehnte, tundraartige Moorgebiete. Es gibt zwei markierte, ziemlich anspruchsvolle Wanderrouten, die 63 km und 86 km lang sind, sowie einen 2 km langen Naturpfad, der am Ausgangspunkt Sulaoja beginnt. Die einzigartige Landschaft bietet Lebensraum f\u00fcr seltene Vogelarten, weshalb das Betreten nur auf den ausgeschilderten Wegen gestattet ist.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Ailigas fjells<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Im Gemeindebezirk Utsjoki gibt es in der N\u00e4he des Flusses Tenojoki drei Fjells, die Ailigas hei\u00dfen. Der h\u00f6chste der drei Fjells befindet sich in Karigasniemi, ganz in der N\u00e4he des Inarijoki, dem Oberlauf des Tenojoki. Dieser Ailigas Fjell ist 620 m hoch. Der zweith\u00f6chste Ailigas befindet sich am Dorf Nuvvus. Er f\u00e4llt direkt zum Ufer des Tenojoki ab. Der 535 m hohe Fjell wird auch Nuvvus-Ailigas genannt. Der kleinste der drei ist 342 m hoch und erhebt sich \u00fcber dem Ortszentrum von Utsjoki.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

H\u00fctten der Kirchengemeinde und Kirche von Utsjoki<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Die Kirchengemeinde von Utsjoki besteht aus 14 H\u00fctten, die aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert stammen. Die H\u00fctten geh\u00f6rten samischen Familien. Sie wurden bis in die 1930er an Markttagen und bei Kircheng\u00e4ngen als Unterk\u00fcnfte genutzt. Die Geb\u00e4ude befinden sich in sch\u00f6ner Lage am Ufer des Sees Mantoj\u00e4rvi und sind \u00fcber die Fernstra\u00dfe Nr. 4 nur 6 km vom Ortszentrum Utsjoki entfernt. Diese Kirchenh\u00fctten und die Steinkirche von Utsjoki geh\u00f6ren zu den bedeutendsten kulturhistorischen Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten der Region Utsjoki.
