Mit dem hier befindlichen n\u00f6rdlichsten Flughafen der EU ist Ivalo das Tor zum Norden. Das Dorf ist der einwohnerst\u00e4rkste Ort und das Verwaltungszentrum des Gemeindebezirks Inari, weshalb es nicht verwundert, dass man hier das umfangreichste Leistungsangebot in Nordlappland vorfindet. Es gibt t\u00e4gliche Flugverbindungen nach Ivalo. Mit Direktfl\u00fcgen ab Helsinki und w\u00e4hrend der Wintersaison auch aus anderen St\u00e4dten Europas ist der Norden einfach zu erreichen. Der Flughafen liegt nur 7 km vom Dorfzentrum entfernt. Ivalo ist dank der verkehrsg\u00fcnstigen Lage an der E75 einfach mit dem Auto oder Bus zu erreichen. Es gibt t\u00e4glich mehrere Busverbindungen, u. a. vom Hauptbahnhof Rovaniemi. Fluss Ivalojoki <\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Der Ivalojoki flie\u00dft durch eine zerkl\u00fcftete Landschaft und eignet sich so perfekt f\u00fcr Kanu- und Angeltouren im Sommer und Motorschlittenfahrten und Skiwanderungen im Winter. Der erste Goldrausch Finnlands fand am Fluss Ivalojoki statt, weshalb der Ivalojoki auch Goldfluss genannt wird. Am Ivalojoki und seinen Abfl\u00fcssen wird auch noch heutzutage nach Gold gesucht. Zu den neuen und alten Sch\u00fcrfpl\u00e4tzen gelangt man auf ausgeschilderten Wanderwegen.<\/p>\n

Der Ivalojoki flie\u00dft zum gr\u00f6\u00dften Teil durch die Fjellnatur des Hammastunturi. Er gilt als eine der eindrucksvollsten Kanurouten Finnlands. Der 70 km lange Flussabschnitt zwischen Kuttura und Ivalo weist mehrere Stromschnellen auf. <\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t

Wildnisgebiet von Hammastunturi<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Die Wildnisgebiet von Hammastunturi ist ein ausgedehntes unbewohntes Gebiet zwischen dem Urho Kekkonen Nationalpark und dem Nationalpark Lemmenjoki. Da es im Gebiet so gut wie keine markierten Routen oder sonstige Einrichtungen gibt, eignet es sich nur f\u00fcr erfahrene Wanderer, die sich gut im Gel\u00e4nde orientieren k\u00f6nnen. Karhunpes\u00e4kivi<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Karhunpes\u00e4kivi oder \u201eB\u00e4rensteinh\u00f6hle\u201c ist ein Findling in My\u00f6ss\u00e4j\u00e4rvi, etwa 25 km n\u00f6rdlich von Ivalo. Es handelt sich um einen Tafonen, der einem Gletschertopf \u00e4hnelt. Die Oberfl\u00e4chenstruktur im Felsinneren erinnert in ihrer Form an Bienenwaben. Sie entstand durch die Erosion der um das h\u00e4rtere Gestein liegenden weichen Gesteinsmasse.
